Fall 2014 NFL Owners Meetings

The Buffalo Bandits, Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres proudly partnered with the Seneca Gaming Corporation to host Seneca Sports Day at the Allegany Community Center for Seneca Nation youth. At the event, the participants had the opportunity to sharpen their hockey skills with Sabres Alumni, Darryl Shannon and Pat Kaleta, learn the fundamentals of flag football with Bills Linebacker and Buffalo native Joe Andreessen, and develop their lacrosse game with Bandits players, Zack Belter, Clay Scanlan, and Chase Fraser. Rax, Billy Buffalo and Sabretooth appeared throughout the event, which also included airbrush tattoos for the kids, photo opportunities, autographs, giveaways, and lunch.

The Buffalo Bills partnered with the Niagara Youth Flag Football Organization to host a girls flag football clinic for middle school and high school girls at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland, Ontario Canada on April 5^th. Buffalo Bills Alumni Lorenzo Alexander made the trip to Welland to support the girls flag players by coaching the participants at the flag different stations, providing words of encouragement, and taking pictures and signing autographs at the end of the event.

TeamSmile, in partnership with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Concordia Dental offered free dental services to 220 local elementary school students promoting the significance of proper oral health. Bills Defensive Tackle DeWayne Carter and Running Back Ray Davis visited the kids in the afternoon to wish them well with their procedures!

The event celebrated the final steel beam as it was raised into place, representing the completion of the structural steel phase of the project. Team reporter Maddy Glab emceed the event and we heard from Bills Owner/President/COO Terry Pegula, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
