Anthony Agnello of Orchard Park High School is the third annual Buffalo Bills and M&T Bank "Touchdown for Teachers" grand prize award winner.
Agnello, who also resides in Orchard Park, NY was chosen among four other outstanding finalists from the region and over one hundred applicants. The program honors teachers for their outstanding service to their schools and communities. The honorees were chosen based on their amount of involvement in the school or community, the degree of positive impact on the school or community and their demonstrated commitment to education.
The five 2011 Bills and M&T Bank Touchdown for Teachers finalists are:
- Juliana Smith, Hornell, NY – Hornell City School District,
- Julie Wantuck, Brockport, NY – Holley Central School District
- Patrick Wirth, Amherst, NY – Union Pleasant Elementary School
- Jeanne Craig, Blasdell, NY – SS Peter & Paul School
- Anthony Agnello, Orchard Park, NY – Orchard Park High – GRAND PRIZE WINNER
Each of the five finalists received two (2) tickets to the Bills home game on December 4th vs. the Titans, official in-game recognition on-field during pre-game festivities and an official Buffalo Bills game ball.
As part of Agnello winning the grand prize, he will also receive an in-class visit from a Buffalo Bills player and a $1,000 grant for his school.
