Two days after signing three members of their 2014 draft class Buffalo signed another. Third round pick Preston Brown signed his rookie contract with the Bills Saturday morning just hours before the team opened their rookie minicamp.
Brown, a 6-2 251-pound linebacker, is expected to see a lot of his snaps at the middle linebacker position in defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's scheme.
"I'm just excited and ready to get to work," said Brown.
Brown, who led his team in tackles each of the past two years, had 301 takedowns in his college career. His senior season he had career highs in tackles for loss (12.5), sacks (4.5) and forced fumbles (3).
Buffalo signed fourth-round pick Ross Cockrell, a cornerback, and their two seventh round picks, LB Randell Johnson and OT Seantrel Henderson on Thursday.
It leaves only top pick Sammy Watkins, second round pick Cyrus Kouandjio and fifth round selection Cyril Richardson as the only unsigned members of the 2014 draft class.
