Sunday's pregame festivities at Highmark Stadium will include lifesaving training as the Bills get ready to kick off the 2024 season!

Bills fans can take part in free hands-only CPR training sessions starting at 9 a.m. on the Billevard before the game as part of the team's HeartBEAT week. The Bills will also have additional hands-only CPR training sessions throughout the season, with dates to be announced later.

The free training is a continuation of the partnership between the Bills and American Heart Association that started in April of 2023.

Since then, the Bills and American Heart Association have helped train over 96,000 community members across Western New York. These trainings have been vital to teaching our community important lifesaving measures that can be taken when someone experiences a cardiac event.

With nearly 3 out of 4 cardiac arrests occurring outside of the hospital, knowing how to perform CPR is critically important. CPR, especially if performed immediately, could double or triple a cardiac arrest victim's chance of survival.

Earlier this week, the Bills Foundation and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield donated 10 AEDs to the following organizations:

Heart Love and Soul, Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club, Niagara Falls Public Library (2), Community Missions, Cataract Youth Football League, Packard Court Community Center, Lockport Little League, Slow Roll Buffalo and Delaine Waring African Methodist Episcopal Church.

On September 3, high school athletes participated in CPR training session, supported by the Buffalo Bills Foundation, Highmark, and the American Heart Association. The training provided students with essential life-saving skills, preparing them to act confidently in emergencies. During the event, the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Highmark also announced AED grants.
