From the moment that the Buffalo Bills clinched a spot in the NFL playoffs, celebration ensued among fans. Like they have since the team's inaugural season, the loyal, passionate and proud people of the City of Buffalo, the entire Western New York region and fans across the globe, have embraced the Bills. In honor of the team's upcoming AFC Wild Card game in Jacksonville, members of the community have once again come together to express their excitement and offer their support. To say thank you for helping propel the Bills to the postseason, Duff's Famous Wings decided to make a special delivery to the Cincinnati Bengals. Traveling overnight on Thursday, Jan. 4, from Buffalo to Cincy with over 1,000 wings on board, Duff's Famous Wings arrived at Paul Brown Stadium on Friday to cook and serve the delicious WNY favorite. The Bengals players and staff then treated the Children's Home Autism High School to lunch.
The Bills spirit has taken over the city and can be seen – even through the snowy conditions – at ECMC, the Official Healthcare Provider of the Buffalo Bills. ECMC has proudly displayed the Bills red, white and blue colors all week by lighting up the hospital's main tower! Additionally, ECMC has encouraged employees to get involved by wearing their favorite Bills gear to work today. Deeming the special day "Buffalo Bills Friday at ECMC," staff members also took part in a pep rally with patients. The festivities will continue on game day, as ECMC passes out Bills logo items to staff and patients to help them cheer on the team.
Kaleida Health, the Official Healthcare Provider of the Buffalo Bills, and Unyts have also encouraged their staff to sport Bills gear today in support of the team's big playoff game. For fans in the downtown area, you'll notice that M&T Bank, the Official Bank of the Buffalo Bills, has illuminated their downtown headquarters with red, white and blue lights.
Not only is Tim Hortons getting in on the fun by encouraging staff to wear Bills gear all weekend, they've created a playoff donut! On Friday, Jan. 5, participating Tim Hortons locations in Buffalo and Rochester will give fans who purchase a medium or larger hot or iced coffee a free playoff donut – a vanilla dipped donut with blue and red sprinkles!
With the help of several partners, the Bills-themed celebrations are able to extend beyond the city. With Bills Friday, sponsored by Yancey's Fancy, fans anywhere can submit photos in Bills clothes on social media for a chance to win prizes.
