With Bills starting fullback Corey McIntyre questionable for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, Buffalo added another fullback to their active roster Friday. Jehuu Caulcrick was promoted to the active roster from the team's practice squad.
For the Western New York native being on the 53-man roster was his top personal goal.
"It's definitely a dream come true," said Caulcrick. "Back in high school playing in this stadium here I never imagined myself being in the locker room here being in front of the team so I'm definitely excited about this."
Caulcrick (6'0" 250) was added to the Bills practice squad last week. The Clymer, New York native is A former undrafted rookie signing of the New York Jets in 2008, he spent most of his rookie season on their practice squad. Caulcrick has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He's also still Western New York's all-time leading high school rusher, and was named Class 'D' New York State Player of the Year in 2003. To make room on the active roster the Bills waived WR Paul Hubbard.
McIntyre was able to practice on Thursday and Friday this week, but only on a limited basis due to an ankle injury suffered last week in the win over Detroit. Head coach Chan Gailey said Friday after practice that if the staff was unsure of McIntyre being 100 percent on Sunday that they may have to make a move.
If Caulcrick appears in Sunday's game it will be his first NFL regular season appearance.
