Give 716 Day is almost here!
Give 716 is a collaborative effort between the Buffalo Bills Foundation and the Buffalo Sabres Foundation with the goal of uniting the Western New York community during an epic day of giving back to support WNY charities.
During last year's Give 716, over $1.1 million was raised for local charities and more big things are in store for 2023.
This year, Give 716 begins on Sunday, July 16 at 7:16pm and runs until Tuesday, July 18 at 7:16am.
Once the clock hits 7:16 p.m., donors can visit Give716.org to choose from 537 participating charities to support or contribute to a general fund which will be divided evenly among the organizations. The first 3,000 donations of $71.60 or more will receive a limited edition Give 716 T-shirt.
At 8 p.m. the first 200 donors of $171.60 or more will receive a Bills autographed mini helmet from an offensive player and at 9 p.m. the first 300 donors of $50 or more will receive a Buffalo Bandits signed lacrosse ball.
Local companies are once again partnering to host "Power Hours" on Mon. July 17, during which donations of up to $500 to specified causes will be matched. The Power Hour schedule is as follows:
Mon. July 17
7 a.m. — Highmark
- Highmark will match up to $12,500 in general donations.
8 a.m. — M&T Bank
- M&T Bank will match up to $10,000 in general donations.
9 a.m. — Dave & Adam's
- Dave & Adam's will match up to $12,500 in donations to animal charities.
10 a.m. — Buffalo Bisons tickets
- First 200 donors of $50 or more receive a pair of Bisons tickets.
12 p.m. — KeyBank
- KeyBank will match up to $15,000 in general donations.
1 p.m. — Wegmans
- Wegmans will match up to $12,500 in general donations.
2 p.m. — Sean and Jamie McDermott
- The McDermott's will match up to $20,000 in general donations.
3 p.m. — New Era Exclusive Give 716 cap
- The first 300 donors of $71.60 or more will receive a New Era Exclusive Give 716 cap.
5 p.m. — Sabres Signed Jersey
- The first 100 donors of $716 or more will receive a signed Buffalo Sabres jersey.
6 p.m. — Bills Autographed Mini Helmet
- The first 200 donors of 171.60 or more will receive a signed Bills mini helmet by a defensive player.
7 p.m. — Highmark
- Highmark will match up to $12,500 in general donations.
8 p.m. — Wegmans
- Wegmans will match up to $12,500 in general donations.
9 p.m. — Dave & Adam's
- Dave & Adam's will match up to $12,500 in donations to animal charities.
The Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Foundations will make three $500 grants per hour beginning at 10 p.m. on July 16 through 6 a.m. on July 18. Charities will be selected randomly & must receive a donation of $25 or more during that hour to be eligible.
