Youth, middle and high school football programs in Western New York now have an opportunity to apply for a grant through the USA Football equipment grant program. The program, which offers $1.5 million in resources to benefit young athletes around the country, will accept applications until Wednesday, March 13 at 5 p.m. ET. To qualify, applicants must be 501(c)(3) compliant. USA Football grants will be awarded based on need and merit, as well as the applying organization's commitment to coaching based on health and safety best practices.
The grants, which are valued up to $1,000, provide resources for tackle football equipment, flag football equipment, uniforms, field and practice equipment, wearable technology and more.
