New Bills DE Joey Bosa is laying down roots less than 24 hours after arriving in Buffalo.

"I've already found a house to live in," Bosa said Thursday during his introductory press conference.

Bosa, who spent the first nine years of his career with the Chargers, is ready for a fresh start as he approaches his age 30 season. After being released, Bosa said his free agency process moved rather quickly, and in that short time Buffalo stood out as the right fit.

"The more we really thought about all the details of this kind of team that we're going to and living in a new place, it just kept getting more exciting by the moment. And now that we're out here experiencing this nice town…I'm just excited to experience something new," he said.

Newly minted in his blue No. 97 Bills jersey, Bosa is already acutely aware of one significant detail surrounding Buffalo's 2025 season.

"I think something that's going to be really special. Last year in this stadium," Bosa said referring to the upcoming final season at Highmark Stadium.

Bosa compared his early impressions of Buffalo to his time at Ohio State. A passionate fan base that eagerly awaits a championship.

"You're really living in a football town with an unbelievable fan base, it's really got me excited," Bosa said. "

Upon agreeing to his deal with the Bills, Bosa shared that he got a text from QB Josh Allen.

"Josh texted me that if we do what we set out to do, we could really be immortalized in this town. And that's what it's all about is winning a championship and that's, I think, why people are here," he said.

By signing Bosa, the Bills make it clear with their intent to fortify their pass rush. Recording double digit sacks four times in nine seasons with five Pro Bowl selections, Bosa (for now) enters 2025 with the most credentials in the team's defensive line room.

Bosa opened up about his journey the last few seasons, specifically having seasons below his standard due to injuries. He admits that even though he played 14 games last year, his health was less than 100% with nagging lower body injuries and a recovery from an early wrist injury.

"I was playing at about 70%, 60% for a good, good while, and every week you'd add a few percent to that," he admitted. "I know it's been a tough last few years, but I know when I'm healthy and I'm on the field, I play really well, and I'm at a high level."

The numerous injuries and time spent away from the game led Bosa to take a step back and evaluate. Entering his 10th NFL season, Bosa is determined to get back to the player he knows he can be.

"I'm locked in this year," he said. "I just want to do everything I possibly can to stay healthy and to contribute to this team and be a part of winning. I'm running out of time here. It's going fast. I'm in year 10 already coming up, and I just don't have that many moments left. So I have to grasp them while I can. And I think all that's on my mind is going to be football this year and helping the team."
