USA Football will host a coaching school for youth football coaches in Upstate New York on Saturday, June 27 at SUNY Cortland.
The one-day clinic, designed exclusively for youth football coaches, will prepare them for the upcoming season and help ensure that their players enjoy a positive and rewarding football experience.
The event is one of 48 coaching schools USA Football will conduct across 35 states in 2009. The clinic is the only USA Football Coaching School in New York State in 2009.
All coaches in attendance receive on-field and classroom instruction from top local coaches, lunch, a high-performance Under Armour-USA Football shirt and a gift bag for their $40 registration.
The full-day clinic (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), in partnership with Liberty Mutual's "Responsible Sport" program and the SUNY Youth Sports Institute, includes sessions on coaching philosophy, teaching proper fundamentals, communicating with players and offensive and defensive "chalk talk" sessions.
