The Bills have played virtually the entire season without David Nelson, now they might be without the wideout that's helped fill the void left by him. Donald Jones is questionable for Sunday's game due to a calf injury that kept him out of Friday's practice.
"Donald Jones has had some tightness in his calf," said head coach Chan Gailey. "We keep trying to get it out, but we haven't been able to do that yet. So he didn't practice today. We've listed him as questionable for the game."
Jones was also limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday, but Gailey is confident that Jones would be able to execute this week's game plan if he can play on Sunday.
"Missing practices like he has, parts of two and then an entire one, it hurts us, but if he can play he would know what to do," Gailey said.
Four others also questionableAlso listed as questionable for Sunday's game are Spencer Johnson, Corey McIntyre, Justin Rogers and Aaron Williams.
Johnson returned to practice Friday after missing Thursday's practice due to illness. He's also been battling a persistent ankle injury, but is expected to be ready to play Sunday.
McIntyre was limited in practice all week, but should be able to play Sunday as well coming off an ankle injury suffered late in last week's game at Indianapolis.
At cornerback Justin Rogers and Aaron Williams are both questionable. Rogers sustained a minor foot injury earlier this week in practice and was added to the injury report Thursday. He was limited again on Friday.
"Justin Rogers was better today," said Gailey following Friday's practice. "He's still questionable, but he did a lot more."
Meanwhile Williams is trying to return from a knee injury sustained back in Week 9 at Houston. He gradually increased his workload throughout the practice week.
"He did okay," said Gailey. "He's still listed as questionable for the game, but he did better today. Today was better than yesterday and that was positive."
