Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday on WGR550 that rookie defensive end Javon Solomon is "not expected" to play in Sunday's season opener against the Cardinals. Solomon has an oblique injury that has kept him from practicing this week and he is not expected to take part in Friday's practice.
McDermott also said that the team has added DE Dawaune Smoot to the injury report with a toe injury and the team will monitor his status leading up to the game. Smoot will not practice Friday.
QB Mitch Trubisky (knee), S Cole Bishop (shoulder), TE Quintin Morris (shoulder) and WR Curtis Samuel (toe) were all full participants during Thursday's practice. Their game status will be updated after Friday's practice.
