1 - Groy has done everything right to be heir apparentFollowing the unfortunate news of Eric Wood's career-ending neck injury, the Buffalo Bills were tasked with finding a successor for the team's center of nearly the last 10 years. It's a tall task, but Bills head coach Sean McDermott thinks Ryan Groy can be the heir apparent to Wood.

"That's right," said McDermott on the John Murphy Show. "Ryan has done a good job and I've enjoyed being around Ryan for the year or, so I've been around him."
In 2017, Groy served as the Bills swing guard and backup center. He only played in five-percent of the snaps this past season, but he's still started in a handful of NFL games.
In 2016, Groy got a shot as a starter after Wood broke his right fibula in Week Nine against the Seattle Seahawks. That resulted in Groy playing in 100-percent of the offensive snaps at center from Weeks 11-17.
In Groy's seven-game stretch, the Bills averaged 176.4 rushing yards per game. Granted, Buffalo had the best ground game that season averaging 164.4 yards per game. Still, the numbers increased with Groy's presence.
"I know he started a number of games, I believe it was seven in 2016," said McDermott. "So Ryan's leadership, his physicality and his work ethic are all really good places to start when we're making sure we have a good offensive line up front."
2 - QB Josh Allen's physical talent impressesWhile Josh Allen's completion percentage might force some NFL scouts to pause, his physical ability is what is going to likely make him a first-round pick. That physical ability allowed the Wyoming signal caller to stand out during field drills at the NFL Combine.
"I thought that Josh Allen put on a show," said NFL Network's Mike Mayock after day two of the Combine. "I knew he would. I've done a bunch of his tape. I saw him live at the Senior Bowl."
In the drills, Allen one of the better performers among the quarterback prospects. He took first in a few of the drills, one of them being the vertical jump. The top-five included: Allen (33.5), Tanner Lee (32.0), Logan Woodside (31.5), Kurt Benkert (31.0), and Kyle Lauletta (31.0).
Allen also showed his hops in the broad jump, taking the first-place spot there as well. The top-five was: Allen (119.0), Lee (115.0), Danny Etling (114.0), Lauletta (113.0), and Austin Allen (112.0).
Allen additionally impressed with his agility and quickness. He notched the second-best time in the three-cone drill. The top-five QBs were: Quinton Flowers (6.81), Allen (6.90), Woodside (6.94), Lauletta (6.95), and Sam Darnold (6.96).
Still another area where Allen caught the attention of scouts was in the 40-yard dash. He recorded the third-best time among QBs. The top-five 40-yard times were: Flowers (4.63), J.T. Barrett (4.70), Allen (4.75), Etling (4.76), and Woodside (4.79).
The 6-5 QB may've dazzled in the on-field drills, but his ginormous arm is often in the limelight. And for good reason. His nearly 70-yard bomb at the Combine left the football world in awe.
"His arm talent is off the charts and I thought he showed off a little bit on Saturday," said Mayock. "I thought he had a tighter delivery. A lot of the tall, lean guys struggle with that. He's working with Jordan Palmer, so I thought he tightened some things up. I thought his footwork was better Saturday and he showed off a little bit, which was good. I wanted to see a little bit of that out of him."
3 – Vontae Davis headed to Vietnam?Last Monday, veteran cornerback Vontae Davis signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. That alone was cause for celebration, but Davis' wife recently had an accomplishment of her own.
"Oh yeah, my wife she just took the Florida bar [exam]. So, she's going to be an attorney soon," said Davis on the John Murphy Show. "That process is really stressful so I kind of want to get her away from the books."
Davis has a two-week trip planned so his wife can escape the long hours that come with the preparation for the bar exams. He and his wife are heading out today, so don't worry Bills fans, he'll be back for the offseason programs.
"We're going on a nice vacation, so we can relax before everything gets started up, like OTAs," said Davis. "You know, just spend some quality time together. We decided that we're heading to Vietnam. SOCIAL MEDIA POST OF THE DAY
