1. Josh Allen ranks here on Bleacher Report's top quarterbacks under 25 list
Bleacher Report released a top 10 quarterbacks under 25 list and Josh Allen made the cut at No. 8. Bleacher Report said there's a lot to love about Josh Allen.
There's a lot to love about 23-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. He has arm talent galore, is a fast and physical runner and plays with an energy that would make Brett Favre smile. He also has the Bills sitting at 4-1 and firmly in the playoff chase.
The article detailed the ceiling Allen has being in just his second year in the NFL.
Still, Allen is one of the best young dual-threat quarterbacks in the NFL today. He'll keep defenses off-balance with his running ability, and he'll make plays with his legs when open receivers aren't there. As a rookie, he rushed for 631 yards and 7.1 yards per carry.
Allen is still very raw as an NFL passer, so he's only going to climb lists like this one as he continues to mature and develop.
Patrick Mahomes topped the list at No. 1. Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is one spot below Allen at No. 9.
2. Levi Wallace: We just have to stay hungry
Cornerback Levi Wallace joined One Bills Live to talk about the team's mindset after the bye week heading into Week 7. Starting every game so far this season and providing solid coverage in the secondary, Wallace still competes like his spot is up for grabs.
"I just want to go out there and keep competing like my job is on the line each and every week," Wallace said. "Happy that the coaches find comfort in putting me out there and I'm able to go out there and make plays the best that I can."
Wallace said the entire defense leans on the very talented safety duo in Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde.
"They run the show back there," Wallace explained. "Whatever they say goes. I trust them. They have the most experience out of all of us, six or seven years each. Just asking them whatever they say goes and trusting that they'll be in the position they say they will be."
The defense knows they are talented, but that mindset doesn't stop the group from understanding there are always ways to grow together.
"We just have to stay hungry as we've been and not let games come down just to us — try to make more takeaways to give the offense more opportunities," Wallace said. "Limit (an offense) even less than we've been doing. I think we know in our hearts that we are a pretty good defense, but I don't think we are satisfied with that at all. I think we want to be No.1 in every category."
