1. Sean McDermott on the Titans COVID situation
The Bills were able to stay mentally tough throughout the week and get the win against the Raiders. The next opponent for Buffalo is the Tennessee Titans, who had their week four game against the Steelers postponed. As more Titans players and staff members continued to test positive Sunday, it is unknown if the Bills will play the Titans in week five. When asked about their next opponent, McDermott said that the team has been monitoring the situation, and they will continue to get updates throughout the week.
"I thought it was a mental challenge for our team. We were being asked about it, in the back third of our week, last week. The guys know who is next on the schedule, and to then come out here and focus as they did, I thought showed a lot. To your question, I'm concerned. When people are sick, we're concerned whether it's a competitor or not. So, we hope that everyone is doing okay or improving on their end…We've been monitoring it, our operations people and Brandon Beane have as well. I'm sure he'll brief me on the plane as to where things are."
2. Josh Norman's shout out to Bills Mafia
In his Bills debut yesterday, Josh Norman brought some new life to the Bills defense and made a few big plays. He forced and recovered his first fumble of the season with the Bills. Norman played his first game as a Bill after spending the first three weeks of the season on injured reserve. Now throughout his career, he has 13 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. It is the second time in his career that Norman has both forced and recovered a fumble in a game, the other time being on Sept. 13, 2015. Norman gave a shout out to Bills Mafia after the win on Sunday.
"What's going on Familia. You guys, we can hear y'all, all the way out here on the West Coast. We can hear you loud and proud, and look we're back at it, at 4-0. Never felt any better, and we got to keep this going. The quest is on, it really is. [Undefeated] and at the end of the day, we are coming back home with the win. Go Bills."
3. Notable numbers from Sunday's win
4-0: With the win over the Raiders, Buffalo is 4-0 for the ninth time in team history. This is the first time since 2008 that the team has accomplished this.
29: Sunday's win was Coach McDermott's 29th as Buffalo Bills head coach. That ties him with Wade Phillips for 4th on the franchise's all-time list.
115.8: With a 115.8 quarterback rating, it marks Allen's fourth consecutive game with a 100+ QB rating. Marking just the second such streak in team history (Joe Ferguson, 4-game streak in games 2-5, 1979).
2: Josh Norman and Quinton Jefferson both forced and recovered fumbles in yesterday's win over the Raiders. It is the first time since week three of the 2019 season that the Bills defense forced two fumbles in a game.
39: Andre Roberts returned a kick for 39 yards, setting up a Bills touchdown. He is the first Bill with 39+ yard return in back-to-back games since Justin Rogers in weeks 14-15 in the 2011 season.
403: Through the first quarter of the season, Stefon Diggs has 26 catches for 403 yards. That is a personal best for the Bills wide receiver through the first four games of the season. He had 391 yards through the first four games of the 2017 season with the Vikings.
30: Cole Beasley scored his 30th career touchdown in the win against the Raiders.
42: Josh Allen has thrown 42 touchdown passes as the Bills quarterback, which is eighth most in franchise history. He needs six more to pass Doug Flutie's 47 touchdowns.
