1. Tre'Davious White earns a nomination for this NFL award
For the past six seasons the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award has been given to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of sportsmanship on the field, including fair play, and respect for the game and opponents. The Bills nominated Tre'Davious White for the award and here's what he had to say about it:
"It's kind of surreal," White stated. "And I'm still in awe about it, and I had no idea that I was up for it. It's an honor to be recognized in that light, and it's something that I don't take lightly. For my peers and the people around here to recognize me as such and nominate me for such a prestigious award is something that I don't take lightly. So, I'm definitely proud to be the nominee for the Buffalo Bills."
A panel of players from the NFL Legends Community will select eight finalists out of the 32 nominees. The eight finalists, four players from each conference, will be listed on the Pro Bowl ballot under the NFL Sportsmanship Award category and all the players will cast their vote on December 18th. The winner will be revealed as a part of NFL Honors the night before Super Bowl LV and will be awarded a $25,000 donation to the charity of his choice. Sean McDermott is proud of White and thinks he's become well-respected around the league.
"That's great to hear I mean Tre' has done a phenomenal job since he's been here, inside the building and outside of the building," McDermott said. "I think he's well respected outside of the building, on the field in particular from the standpoint of his peers, his teammates, and the opposition. So, when you look at it, he competes extremely hard even during practice. When the practice is over, he's his normal Tre self, you know, high-energy, smiling, and has a great enjoyment for the life. I think his teammates see it and also that his peers around the league see it and I think he's become well respected for that combination."
2. Help Kelly for Kids by participating in this online auction
Bills legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly is holding an online auction for his Kelly for Kids Foundation. His foundation which was created in 1987, has raised close to five million dollars to help improve the quality of life for children who are disabled or disadvantaged. The online auction which has been open since Friday has already raised more than $13,000 for the foundation. The auction is open until Tuesday, December 8th at 3:00 pm. Some of the items available for auction are a pair of game-worn cleats signed by Josh Allen, footballs autographed by Marv Levy and Bruce Smith, autographed photos and canvases and so much more. 3. David Carr has this Bill ranked 10th in his list of the top 15 offensive players
NFL.com analyst and former number one overall pick David Carr released his offensive player rankings for week 13, and he had Josh Allen at ten. This is the highest spot Allen has been placed on Carr's list all season. Entering week 13, Allen ranks seventh in passing yards (3,028), 10th in passing touchdowns (22), and third in rushing touchdowns by quarterbacks (6).
No. 10. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Josh Allen had some nice plays in Sunday's 27-17 win over the Chargers, but he also had some really alarming plays, as well. While I like the way, he's getting rookie Gabriel Davis involved, he can't have reckless turnovers like he did Sunday if Buffalo intends to make a deep playoff run. Not every team is going to be the Chargers.
