For the first time in his career, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been named to the Top 100 Players of 2020 list. The third year quarterback comes in at No. 87.
Allen was voted into the Top 100 Players of 2020 by his peers. The quarterback, as well as all on the Top 100, are being revealed on NFL Network throughout the week.
From year one to year two, Allen showed quite a bit of progress. Last season he led NFL quarterbacks and set a franchise record, rushing for nine touchdowns. Allen also tied NFL leaders for most fourth quarter comeback wins in 2019 with four.
In his second year, the QB joined Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson to be the only quarterbacks who have rushed for more than 500 yards in their first two seasons. Allen's 29 total touchdowns last season was the second most by any Bills quarterback behind Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly.
In just a season Allen improved his completion percentage by six percentage points, going from 52.8 percent to 58.8 percent. The quarterback's numbers improved in passing yards and touchdowns, throwing for 1,000 more yards and scoring 11 more touchdowns in year two.
In year three, Allen is expected to develop even more. From improvement in decision-making to scoring more points, the challenge to boost his play looks attainable based on the strides he made in 2019. Allen welcomes a cast of new offensive weapons like wide receiver Stefon Diggs and running back Zack Moss who will help the quarterback see more success this season.
