Buffalo's leading scorer this season and their top running back were spectators at practice Wednesday.
Kicker Stephen Hauschka and RB LeSean McCoy sat out Wednesday's session with hip and hamstring injuries respectively. McCoy sustained his injury very early in last Sunday's game against the Jets. Hauschka suffered a hip injury on his kicking leg side after getting hit from behind in the scramble play following his blocked field goal attempt last week.
Head coach Sean McDermott said they'll take McCoy's injury a day at a time leading up to Sunday's game with the Lions. Buffalo did call up practice squad RB Keith Ford to the active roster as insurance in the event that McCoy is not available.
RB Chris Ivory, who left last week's game with a shoulder injury, was able to practice Wednesday. Also returning from injury Wednesday was TE Jason Croom, who missed last week's game with a groin injury.
