The Bills are adding another weapon to their roster for quarterback Josh Allen. Wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has signed a one-year deal with Buffalo.
Valdes-Scantling's last stop was in Kansas City where he played two (2022-2023) seasons for the Chiefs. Last season, the WR started in 10 games and totaled 21 receptions, 315 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The WR has earned two Super Bowl championships with the Chiefs. He also caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in their LVIII win against the 49ers.
Valdes-Scantling started his NFL career with Green Bay and spent four seasons (2018-2021) playing for the Packers. His best NFL season came in 2020 when he started in 12 games and racked up 33 receptions, 690 receiving yards (career high) and six touchdowns (career high). He also averaged 20.9 yards per reception that year, which led the NFL.
During his six-year NFL career, the WR has played in 92 games (60 starts) and totaled 186 receptions, 3,155 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns.
He was originally drafted by the Packers in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Valdes-Scantling played collegiately NC State and University of South Florida. He is from St. Petersburg, FL.
