Bills sign rookie linebacker Shayne Simon

The Bills announced the signing of undrafted linebacker Shayne Simon from Pittsburgh.

Simon participated in Buffalo's rookie minicamp in May as tryout player. He will wear No. 49.

Simon played in 12 games at middle linebacker for Pittsburgh last season. He compiled 48 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. He played in 25 total games in two seasons in Pittsburgh.

From 2018-2021, he played in 32 games for Notre Dame.

Simon, 24, is a native of West Orange, NJ. He earned a degree in finance from Notre Dame and enrolled at Pitt's Katz Graduate School of Business earning a master's degree in supply chain management.

In a corresponding move, the Bills placed Tommy Doyle on the waived/injured list.
