The Bills are adding one of the top kick returners in the league to their wide receiver room.
WR/KR Laviska Shenault Jr. is signing with Buffalo on a one-year contract, the team announced Friday. Shenault had the 10th most return yards in the NFL last season with 459 yards, one touchdown and an average of 28.7 yards per return.
"This is a great organization," Shenault said. "I hear from a lot of players that have played here. The fans are crazy. I love the fans. I love the energy that they bring. And then the team, it's a playoff caliber team every year. So, I just think there's a lot of great opportunities here."
Shenault spent the 2024 season with Seattle and one of his best moments of the season featured a 97-yard return for a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers.
"I think anytime the ball's in my hands it's a great possibility, something great will happen," Shenault said. "I feel like I left a lot on the field last year, so I'm looking forward to not leaving nothing on the field this year."
Shenault is a capable receiver and rusher as well. He has 1,587 receiving yards, 253 rushing yards and seven total touchdowns in five seasons.
"I'm the type of athlete where I can do anything, just tell me what I need to do and I'll do it at 110%," Shenault said.
Shenault is a former second round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He is from Irving, Texas and played collegiately at Colorado. He will wear No. 15 with the Bills.
