A very new looking edition of the Bills will be on display for the first time in Highmark Stadium on Friday evening when the team returns to Orchard Park from training camp. Here's a quintet of players fans should keep an eye on during the session.
1. WR Keon Coleman
Buffalo's top draft choice has been a fan favorite through the first week of camp, and he hasn't disappointed with his highlight reel receptions even when covered. But Coleman is a crafty player with a high football IQ, who can read coverage and adjust accordingly to be available for his quarterback.
2. C Connor McGovern
Buffalo's new starting center has looked like a "natural" in the pivot according to offensive coordinator, Joe Brady as he makes the shift from left guard. Observing his handling of the pre-snap communication and shotgun snaps will be of interest to fans.
3. LB Matt Milano
The last time the Bills' All-Pro linebacker was on the Highmark Stadium field was Week 4. The next week his season was over due to a serious leg injury. Not knowing what his playing time will be in the preseason, this might be one of the only opportunities to gauge how he looks in his return from a long rehabilitation.
4. Edge Von Miller
Much like Milano, Miller might not see much playing time in the preseason. The veteran pass rusher has already flashed his trademark burst at the snap in the first week of camp practices. His teammates believe the old Von Miller is back, which was a question Bills fans had been asking for much of the offseason.
5. DE Casey Toohill
The free agent signee from Washington has a skill set reminiscent of former Bills DE Trent Murphy, but Toohill offers more bend and athleticism. He's quietly been a solid all-around edge defender through the first week of camp.
