The Bills promoted practice squad running back Ty Johnson to the 53-man roster on Friday. Johnson has spent the first six weeks of the season on the practice squad. He is in his fifth NFL season and produced 925 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns in his career. He's also added 688 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 62 career games. He spent the previous three seasons with the NY Jets. Johnson is in his fifth NFL season and a product of Maryland.
He originally joined the NFL as a sixth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in 2019.
The Bills placed running back Damien Harris on injured reserve.
