Ahead of Week 18, the Bills are signing QB Mike White from the practice squad to the team's active roster. In a corresponding move, the team released LB Nicholas Morrow.
The signing of White to the active roster gives Buffalo the option to have three QBs dressed on Sunday at the Patriots.
QB Josh Allen will start in the regular season finale to continue his 114 consecutive start streak, but will be pulled rather quickly to rest for the playoff next week.
QB Mitch Trubisky will take Allen's place once subbed out and White could also see snaps if the team makes him active.
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said on WGR550 that the team plans to make White active on Sunday.
"We hope we can get him in the game," McDermott said.
Bills-Patriots will kick off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5 from Gillette Stadium.
