The Bills have announced the signing of safety Jared Mayden to the active roster.
Mayden, 6-0 and 205, was most recently with New York Jets' practice squad. The safety spent just under a month with the Bills this season when he was signed to their practice squad in October.
Mayden has also spent time with the Eagles and the 49ers. He played in four games with Philadelphia in 2021 and recorded six total tackles. The safety has played in six career games since coming into the NFL in 2020.
Mayden is an undrafted free agent out of Alabama. He is from Dallas, Texas.
To make room for this move, the Bills have released cornerback Xavier Rhodes.
