The Bills announced a roster move on Monday afternoon prior to Tuesday's cuts. Buffalo is trading defensive end Darryl Johnson to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a 2022 sixth round pick.
Johnson spent two full seasons with the Bills and totaled 25 tackles and two sacks in 31 games played. He ranked second on special teams with eight tackles in 2020.
The defensive lineman and special teams contributor was drafted by Buffalo in the seventh round out of the 2019 NFL Draft.
This is the second move the Bills have made for a 2022 NFL Draft pick this offseason. In March, the Bills acquired a conditional seventh round pick from Atlanta in a trade for tight end Lee Smith.
