The Bills have agreed to terms to acquire Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas via a trade.
Buffalo is sending a 2024 3rd-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for Douglas and a 2024 5th-round pick.
At 6-foot-2, 209 pounds, Douglas is a physical and big-bodied defensive back with experience playing on the perimeter and in the slot. After getting signed by Green Bay in 2021, Douglas has recorded 10 interceptions, 32 pass breakups and 174 tackles.
Through seven games with the Packers this season, Douglas has one interception, six passes defended and 32 total tackles. Pro Football Focus grades Douglas as the 21st-best CB this season (75.2 grade).
Since 2021, Douglas has six INTs in the 4th quarter or OT, which ranks as the most among active cornerbacks in the NFL. Douglas has two pick-6's in his career: one against Bears QB Justin Fields and the other against Rams QB Matthew Stafford while covering WR Cooper Kupp.
The move bolsters the Bills' cornerback group which now consists of Rasul Douglas, Christian Benford, Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, Cam Lewis, Siran Neal, Kaiir Elam, and Josh Norman (practice squad).
