QB - Josh Allen
Josh Allen finished his 7th career season with 4,269 total yards, 41 total touchdowns and the fewest turnovers of his career (8). Among his many NFL records set this season, Allen became the first player in NFL history with 5 straight 40+ total TD seasons.
Led by Allen, the Bills exceeded preseason expectations by finishing with a 13-4 record and a fifth-straight AFC East division title. Throughout the 2024 season, Allen cemented himself as the league's most valuable player with jaw-dropping plays, remarkable statistical achievements and continued team success. Allen is the first Bills player since RB Thurman Thomas (1991) to win NFL MVP, and first Bills QB ever to do so.
Allen won the award with 27 first place votes and 383 total points. Runner-up QB Lamar Jackson received 23 first place votes and 362 total points.
The Associated Press 2024 NFL All-Pro team selected by a national panel of 50 media members.

The award is presented each year to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents and integrity in competition. Allen is the first Bills player to win.
The Bills QB joins a prestigious community of recent winners which includes LB Bobby Wagner, DE Calais Campbell, RB Adrian Peterson, QB Drew Brees and WR Larry Fitzgerald, among others.
Greasy Neale 'Coach of the Year' Award: Sean McDermott
The Maxwell Football Club named Sean McDermott the 36th winner of this award. This marks the first time a Bills head coach has earned this honor.
This year, McDermott has accomplished the following:
- Became the fifth coach in NFL history with five straight 11-win seasons, joining Bill Belichick, Andy Reid, Tony Dungy and Tom Landry
- Led the Bills to becoming the first team since 2009 and one of eight teams all-time to clinch a division title with five weeks remaining
- The Bills are the first team to ever defeat two 15+ win teams in a single season.
- Ranks second all-time in regular season wins (86) in a head coach's first eight NFL seasons

Tackle: Dion Dawkins
No. 1 - Quarterback, Josh Allen
I cannot stress enough how close this was at the top. At different moments, I had Allen, Jackson and Joe Burrow occupying the top spot.
Allen led the league in QBR in slightly fewer plays than Jackson -- thanks to him effectively sitting out Week 18. He displayed exceptional ability to avoid big mistakes, too. Allen threw an interception on 1.1% of dropbacks (fourth best), had a 1.2% turnover rate (second best) and was sacked on 2.6% of dropbacks (best). He was taken down on only 8.8% of pressures -- the same rate Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had on all dropbacks.
Allen also finished third in total team EPA on scrambles or designed carries (49). Thirty percent of the Bills' third- and fourth-down conversions came via quarterback runs, only trailing the Eagles from Weeks 1-17. Even when removing runs and scrambles, Allen ranked third in QBR (71) and second in EPA per play despite a low play-action rate (21%, 28th), a low designed rollout rate and an average motion at the snap rate.
So what separates Allen from Jackson? Very little. But I believe Jackson had more support. As much as I like Bills receiver Khalil Shakir, he's not as good as the Ravens' Zay Flowers. ESPN's open score ranks Flowers (82), Rashod Bateman (83) and tight end Mark Andrews (80) all higher than Shakir (51).
Jackson also had more running back support. The Ravens ranked second in EPA per designed running back run, while the Bills ranked seventh. Even though Jackson probably helped Derrick Henry (more than the other way around), the star back's presence gave him a boost.
First team - Quarterback, Josh Allen
I won't get too much into the conversation about quarterback here, given that we're going to be talking about a lot of the same stuff next week in my year-end awards column. I laid out the numbers for the top three quarterbacks in my column Monday, and there isn't much difference between the top two.
Lamar Jackson has been absolutely spectacular, and Allen has been more consistent (while still, of course, occasionally looking like he's a space alien). They're both incredible. I very narrowly lean toward Allen, but I'm not ruling out changing my mind between now and next week. ... Buffalo is locked into the 2-seed in the AFC -- while Jackson and the Ravens need to beat the Browns on Saturday to win the AFC North and clinch the 3-seed.
Second team: CB Christian Benford
MVP: QB Josh Allen
The MVP race has been fiercely debated all season, but now it's time to make a final call. Six of our eight panelists landed on Josh Allen as the top choice, putting him ahead of two-time real-life winner Lamar Jackson in cumulative points. This would be Allen's first time winning the award. Joe Burrow did pick up one first-place vote despite his Cincinnati Bengals falling short of the playoffs. Saquon Barkley came in fourth for his 2,000-yard season, followed by a handful of other quarterbacks and even a couple of offensive linemen who picked up down-ballot votes.
First team - Quarterback: Josh Allen
Allen doesn't have the most passing touchdowns, passing yards or total yards. And yet he's the likely MVP after leading Buffalo to an easy AFC East title despite playing on a team with a leaky defense and no superstar weapons. Allen has been the best player in football this year and is deserving of top honors.
First team - Tackle: Dion Dawkins
Dawkins gets somewhat overlooked in Buffalo, playing in a small market and on a team with myriad other stars. However, he's routinely been one of the league's best blindside protectors for years with Allen. In his eighth season, perhaps Dawkins finally earns All-Pro status.
