The line on this game is absurdly lopsided and rightfully so. The Bills' defense generated three turnovers in each of the last two games. It is likely to feast on Davis Mills of the Texans (1-2), who threw for 168 yards and was sacked four times in his first N.F.L. start last week against Carolina. Mills is likely to do more to limit the production of Texans receiver Brandin Cooks than the Bills (2-1). Expect the score to get ugly quick.

Pick: Bills -17

This will be the first road start for Texans rookie quarterback Davis Mills. That's a challenge any time, but even more so against this defense. The Texans also have defensive issues, which Josh Allen will abuse. This is ugly.

Pick: Bills 33, Texans 10

MDS's take: The Texans are playing hard, but they just don't have the talent, especially with rookie Davis Mills at quarterback. The Bills will cruise.

MDS's pick: Bills 31, Texans 20.

Florio's take: At least Houston got a Week One win. It may be the only one they get, until they play the Jaguars again.

Florio's pick: Bills 41, Texans 16.

... This feels like a game in which Allen and Co. will put it together for a squad that likes to win big. In fact, each of Buffalo's last five regular-season victories have come by 22 or more points.

Predictions

Davenport: Buffalo
Gagnon: Buffalo
Kenyon: Buffalo
O'Donnell: Buffalo
Rogers: Buffalo
Sobleski: Buffalo

Score Prediction: Bills 34, Texans 13

The Bills are in scorched-earth mode since the Week 1 loss to Pittsburgh, and they've outscored their last two opponents 78-21. Brandin Cooks has been a bright spot for the Texans, but they won't be able to keep up in this one. Can they cover that gigantic spread?

Pick: Bills 38, Texans 20
